Weddings come in all shapes, sizes, budgets and colors. I currently have the privilege of being involved in the planning and executing of one of these grand events. It is a branding exercise extraordinaire! I have been asked to design the invitations, thank you cards and wedding website. It has been great fun discussing colors which will transfer into printed collateral, the web, decorations and bridal party attire. I am, of course, thinking about how to extend the look throughout all aspects of the project! So many opportunities!
Designing for weddings is not that much different than creating a logo, corporate ID and web presence for a business. The sky is the limit when it comes to re-creating a look/brand. Unfortunately, the budget is not! But I am having so much fun that I have begun pondering the possibilities of designing wedding invitations.
Perhaps there is another creative adventure in my future.
