Erica Linford
Erika Linford is the author of “Take My Hand”. In writing this biography, Erika hoped to provide her posterity with a meaningful link to their German roots. It is a memoir of faith, hope and survival growing up in war torn Czechoslovakia and East Germany.
Blackbourn Design had the honor of designing and creating Erika’s book. It features a printed dust cover wrapped around a silver embossed fabric hard cover.
Hardback Book
Erika wanted a simple hardback cover in addition to a printed dust cover. This hardback cover is a deep purple textured fabric with embossed silver type and a leaf embellishment, a design element carried throughout the book.
Dustcover
The dustcover design spoke to Erica’s deep faith and the belief that she was being guided through the the travesties of war and on throughout the rest of her life.
Inside Content
The inside design used a decorative leaf embellishment and large dropped cap letter at the beginning of the first paragraph of the chapters.
